bullies and bad food and nazi-like dictator principals, oh my!

school starts very, very soon.
in past years i've had goals--focus on schoolwork, don't get caught in drama.
they help me stay focused and stuff.

also, i found out a few days ago that Alix is going to Madison.

and i've had an immensely entertaining and eventful summer, where i learned whole new levels of things about myself.

which combines to make my goal for this year. i am going to have fun. no longer is school going to stifle me! i will enjoy myself, even if i don't have Alix to laugh with. no longer will i allow myself to be subjected to the rules of awkwardness. no longer will i lag for topics of conversation. i shall act out. i shall yell in the hallways. i shall not hide in a little shell of shyness any longer.

see, I've always had someone to laugh with, to cut up with, who understands my jokes.
but with Alix leaving, i have to venture outside my little bubble. which means i'll have to make other people laugh too.

i mean, these are high schoolers. who cares whether or not they like me?
what do i have to fear from them?
why should i care what their opinion of me is? if they think i'm weird?

i feel like instead of closing me off with a destiny of ISS and odd looks, this opens up an endless realm of possibilities for boredom-induced mischief.

cheers!
